市场上成型的产品或方案并不能很好的适应学校的实际情况。本设计方案首先从学校的实际需求出发，在实地考察的基础上，结合当前的主流产品与成熟技术，对校园网的建设进行了总体规划。在方案设计这一部分确定了校园网的设计原则；从网络多媒体应用的需求出发，讨论了多媒体应用需要的网络技术；确定了整个布线以网络中心为起点，呈星型状向周围建筑物和各信息点分布的拓扑结构。项目实施部分对设备的选型、布线、Internet接入、软件的选择进行了分析。校园网的建设就是为了应用，本方案从电子教学、职能管理、远程教育三方面进行了阐述。校园网建成以后，为保证教学的正常进行、网络的正常运转，管理并保护好整个网络的安全就显得十分重要了，网络管理和网络安全这两部分对此问题进行了设计。最后总结了设计中存在的问题和特点。

校园网的建设应用是一个不断完善的过程，是一个应用—升级—再应用—再升级循环往复的过程。只升级不应用，会造成硬件资源的浪费，只应用不升级，资源将不能满足实际的需要，要两者不断循环往复发展，才能真正进入校园网建设的良性循环。
